I began my career as a newspaper reporter and have been dedicated to storytelling ever since. Much of my work has blended my two passions: writing and education. My professional roles have included serving as a curriculum writer for a distance learning website, a communications specialist at a university, and a public information coordinator and web operations manager at a state department of education.

I now work as a web content specialist at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and as the volunteer marketing coordinator for the Digital Collegium (formally HighEdWeb) Leadership Academy, an online program that advances the leadership abilities of digital professionals in higher education.

Pursuing my master’s in professional and technical writing sharpened my skills, making me a more versatile writer, skilled editor, and effective communicator. I have expanded my expertise in areas such as document design, grant writing, writing for social media, and technical style and editing.
